(Anderson, 1999) NEW ITOH Yellow, semi-double, midseason, 30” tall, Itoh. A delightful flower that changes color as it matures. You will want to stay in the garden to watch it change from peach/salmon to yellow tones on the same petal.

(Landis/Rogers, 2004) Pink, double, midseason, 32" tall, lactiflora. Opens pink and fades to lovely Picotee edgings. A shorter, nicely shaped landscape plant.

(Anderson) ITOH Cherry red, single to semi-double, fragrant, midseason, 28" tall, intersectional/Itoh. Opens a cherry red fading to orange then yellow, showing 3 colors of flowers on the plant. Excellent garden plant.

(Bigger, 1940) Red, double, fragrant, midseason, 36" tall, lactiflora cultivar. Rose-type flowers of watermelon-red on strong dark green stems. APS Gold Medal Award 1957.

(Brand, 1928) Pure white, single, midseason, 34" tall, lactiflora cultivar. Large, white, crepe-paper textured petals with a tuft of golden yellow stamens in center. Stands up in rain. Award of Landscape Merit 2009.

(Crousse, 1886) Lilac-white, double, fragrant, midseason, 33" tall, fragrant, lactiflora. A very dainty beauty with red flecks on the petals.

(Hollingsworth, 1997) Pink, double, lightly fragrant, late-midseason, hybrid, 33" tall. A fluffy, loose pink and yellow flower with an arching stem for a romantic appearance.

(Kelway, 1902) Blush, double, very fragrant, midseason, 36" tall, lactiflora cultivar. The pale mauve-pink flowers lighten in the center. A much loved heirloom variety with a loose, romantic form.

(Klehm, 1987) Milky white, bomb-type double, fragrant, midseason, 32" tall, lactiflora cultivar. A wonderful landscape plant that holds its flowers upright. Compact bloom good for floral arrangements.

(Hollingsworth, 1993) Pink, double, very fragrant, midseason, 36" tall, lactiflora cultivar. A very full flower, pink petals infused with yellow staminodes. Needs support in the garden.

(David Reath, 1981) NEW Yellow, semi-double, fragrant, early, 28” tall, hybrid. A lemon yellow full flower with golden stamens peeking through beside the bright pink carpel tips. Strong stems hold the flower upright. Rare.

(Anderson, 1999) NEW ITOH Yellow, semi-double, midseason, 34” tall, Itoh hybrid. A delightful light yellow bloom that can have a lavender streak, or can even be half lavender. Lovely deeply cut, glossy, dark green foliage. Rarely offered.

(Niva/Pacific Peony) Pink, japanese form, midseason, 38" tall, lactiflora cultivar. Deep pink guard petals surround a spiky center of lighter petaloids that are etched in peach. Many side-buds make a longer bloom period.

(Wild, 1930) Off-white, double, fragrant, late midseason, 32" tall, lactiflora cultivar. Very large flower with a flat face. On opening it is tinged with a delicate flesh pink center that fades to off white.

(Sass, 1941) Pink, double, very fragrant, early, 26" tall, lactiflora cultivar. A medium size, pink bomb-type flower with lavender tones.

(Hollingsworth, 1996) NEW Orange pink, bomb-type double, fragrant, midseason, 26" tall. Strong stems hold medium-size flowers that open orange-pink and fade to apricot-orange. Sweet spicy fragrance, reliable.

(Rea, 1939) Light pink, double, fragrant, midseason, 36" tall, lactiflora cultivar. A light pink ruffled flower with exquisite tints. A good cut flower.

(Saunders, 1942) Carmine-rose pink, semi-double, early, 32" tall, hybrid. A bright, warm pink flower with lovely large upright petals that exude elegance. Strong stems on a shorter plant. Award of Landscape Merit 2009.

(Sass, 1933) White, double, lightly fragrant, midseason, 32" tall, lactiflora cultivar. A white, bomb-type double with mild fragrance. Plant stands up nicely. One of my special favorites.

(David Reath, 1992) Red, semi-double, early midseason, 36" tall, hybrid. A brilliant red flower that shows up clear across the garden! The large silken petals are ruffled adding fullness.

(Franklin, 1932) Magenta, japanese, fragrant, midseason, 34" tall, lactiflora cultivar. A rich, glistening magenta flower that stands upright. Unusual flower form and color.
