Whites
(Wild, 1930)
Off-white, double, fragrant, late midseason, 32" tall, lactiflora cultivar. Very large flower with a flat face. On opening it is tinged with a delicate flesh pink center that fades to off white.

White, double, lightly fragrant, midseason, 32" tall, lactiflora cultivar. A white, bomb-type double with mild fragrance. Plant stands up nicely. One of my special favorites.

White, double, very fragrant, early midseason, 31" tall, lactiflora cultivar. Center crown of white with a few crimson flecks and a glow of yellow from the inner base. Heirloom variety.

White, semi-double, midseason, 33" tall, lactiflora cultivar. A very striking white bloom set off by a center of red carpels surrounded by bright yellow stamens. Award of Landscape Merit 2009.

Creamy white with red flares, single, midseason, 33" tall, intersectional/Itoh. The flower changes from pinks to yellows toward the unusual center.

White, single, lightly fragrant, very early, 18" tall, hybrid. Milk-white petals are rounded and edged deep magenta-pink. Charmingly dwarf plant with rounded foliage and crimson stems.

White, Japanese, fragrant, midseason, 36" tall, lactiflora cultivar. The white guard petals have a pink flush. The center is a mound of yellow staminodes creating a lacy pastel effect.

White, semi-double, midseason, intersectional/Itoh. Named for ragged petal edges on this attractively colored flower. Blush to white petals deepen to near purple in center.

White, double, lightly fragrant, midseason, 34" tall, lactiflora cultivar. Medium-sized, pale pink fading to white blossoms with petals arranged in whorls. Very delicate appearance.

Snow white, bomb-type double, lightly fragrant, midseason, 34" tall, lactiflora cultivar. The flower opens to a loose, high mountain of snow white petals with an inner glow of yellow, sometimes with red flecks.

White, single, late midseason, 48" tall, hybrid. Very unusual single flowers with a center similar to an empress magnolia. Many small flowers on tall stems. Very unique.
